National Library Workers Day is Coming!

During the pandemic, library workers have gone above and beyond what’s required to continue meeting library users’ needs. Let’s celebrate these stars! Start planning now for National Library Workers Day (NLWD) —Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Recognize all library workers who make library service possible every day. National Library Workers Day (#NLWD21) is a day for library users, administrators, staff, supporters, and friends to recognize the valuable contributions made by those who work in libraries. Libraries and organizations are encouraged to host virtual celebrations and submit names of Stars to honor great workers, teams, or departments. Give cool gifts to your staff to let them know they are appreciated. Make plans now to acknowledge and celebrate library workers. Share your celebration ideas by sending photos, news items, etc. to libraryworklife@ala.org.
