LSSC Approved Courses

The LSSC Program does not offer any courses; instead, the program approves courses from providers of library education. These providers set the fees for their courses and payment for these courses is separate from the candidate enrollment fee.

*Approved Course Catalog*

LSSC Approved Courses are offered by a variety of providers, including Community Colleges, Universities, State Libraries, Library Collectives, etc. You can find all available courses in the Approved Course Catalog. Some of the courses lead to college credit and some do not. Candidates are welcome to take any individual courses to fulfill competency sets or can pursue a degree at a Community College with an agreement with ALA-APA that offers graduates the LSSC after graduation. For more information on this option, please visit the About Approved Courses section.

Once you successfully complete an approved course that is not part of an LTA Program Partner’s course of study, you will receive a Certificate of Course Completion (CCC).

All evidence of your work will be submitted by completing the online LSSC Course Completion Form. If you have questions, please contact Kimberly Redd.
