is a Star because Terri keeps our library running on a daily basis. She is a great resource for our students and staff alike. is a Star because Leslie does a great job as the librarian for the South Dearborn High School library. She actively promotes reading and the love of reading to our students and finds ways to get them to visit the library. She is also an excellent resource for our teachers helping with many different topics, but is especially good at reasearch! Thanks to Rob for this nomination.
Agnes from a library in Remington, IN
is a Star because Agnes Dombrowski has been a driving force at the Remington-Carpenter Township library for over 30 years, where she has acted as reference librarian, cataloger, head of acquisitions, children’s librarian, technical support, and bookkeeper. She greets each patron with a smile and cheerfully answers computer questions, reference questions, and homework questions while also running the circulation desk and managing the accounting for the library. Though she never pursued an MLS, she embodies the spirit of cheerful, knowledgeable, helpful service that all librarians should have, and which cannot be acquired with a degree. After 30+ years of service to the patrons of this small farming town, I believe Agnes deserves to be recognized and celebrated for her contributions to both the library and the community!
