Star Archives: NH

Sarah from a public library in Dover, NH

is a Star because her outstanding level of creativity, support, cooperation, and collaboration as well as her extensive knowledge of children’s literature has been a great asset to the operation of the Children’s Room. Sarah’s job performance has far surpassed her pt.-time job description. Her creativity and artistic abilities have been used to enrich our story hour programs, our summer reading programs, and the physical appearance of the Children’s Room. She has created numerous flannel board and magnetic board storytelling props, designed and created summer reading booklets and murals, and painted the Children’s Room windows (to the delight of adults and children alike) with seasonal and theme related scenes. Her musical gift and storytelling talent have also been appreciated by all during her many “special” performances at the library as well as those who attend her regular “Toddler” programs. Thanks to Kathleen for this nomination.

Nancy from a public library in Madbury, NH

is a Star because Nancy genuinely loves her job and it shows. She is always so welcoming, friendly, and supportive of reading. She asks children what books they’d like to read, and then gets them. My daughter was using interlibrary loan in kindergarten because of Nancy’s true interest and support of reading. Thanks to Noreen for this nomination.
