Hope from an academic library in Henderson, TN, is a Star because she was committed to helping others shine. Hope Shull was the library director at Freed-Hardeman University until she passed away this week after a 2 year fight with ovarian cancer. Even though ill, she was a dynamic leader professionally and in the community. She began and organized a weekend snack pack program in the county for hungry children, spearheaded both campus and community beautification programs, ran in fund-raising 5K races, was co-director for the largest summer camp on campus for many years, and devoted herself to helping our university students succeed in their academic careers. She gave of herself tirelessly for others. She was our shining star and inspiration.- Shirley
