is a Star because Doris is my colleague in the Government Documents/Microforms Department of LSU Libraries. She is extremely knowledgeable, untiring, patient, and cheerful. She can handle a technical problem as easily and pleasantly as a personnel problem. She was my supervisor when I was LIS graduate student in the department. She was such a pleasure to work with that I wanted to work in the department full-time after graduation. Thanks to Debbie for this nomination.

Deborah from a library in Lake Charles, LA

is a Star because Day in & day out she works to assist school librarians in getting orders for supplies to the correct vendors & works diligently to ensure that the correct items are delivered.  She is never fearful of "fighting" for the "best bang for the buck" when library funding is involved.  She also works to get the best service & products when magazines & newspapers are purchased for school libraries.  Working for 58 school libraries can be tiresome, but Deborah Reder gives it her best efforts on a daily basis throughout the year. Thanks to Helen for this nomination.
