Nominate Stars, Order T-Shirts, Buttons, Posters to Celebrate National Library Workers Day

National Library Workers Day (#NLWD15) will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.  This day is designated as a day for library users, administrators, staffs, supporters and friends to recognize the valuable contributions made by all of those who work in libraries.

Sponsored by the ALA-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA), National Library Workers Day is normally celebrated on the Tuesday of National Library Week.  Library organizations are encouraged to host a celebration and submit stars to honor great workers, teams or departments.  Pre-orders for t-shirts, buttons and posters will be taken through March 20, 2015.  All t-shirts are $15 (which includes shipping and handling).   A “free” poster will be given to any library organization ordering 10 or more t-shirts.

To share stories or plans on how your library organization plans to celebrate, please complete our online form.
