Approved Courses

One route to demonstrating achievement in competency sets is through completing approved courses covering competency sets. This page shows you all of the courses that have been approved by the LSSC Program, and is updated often.

The LSSC Program does not offer any courses; instead the program approves courses from providers of library education. These providers set the fee for their courses. Payment for these courses is separate from the candidate registration fee.

For more information about each course, click on the name of the provider listed under Course.

Once you successfully complete an approved course, you will receive a Certificate of Course Completion (CCC) to upload to your CAR.
