The courses listed below are the only courses approved by the CPLA program to allow candidates to learn and practice the competencies required to complete the program. The courses are listed by competency . For more information about each competency, please click the “CORE” or “ELECTIVE” next to the course name. Details about the course can be found by following the link of the course name. Bios are linked to the Instructor names as well.
Candidates complete seven courses: one course from each of the four core areas and three of the elective areas. However, anyone may sign up for a course. If you are thinking of becoming a candidate, be sure to tell the instructor so that you can complete the same assignments as candidates. You have twelve (12) months after completing a course, to submit it to be used toward CPLA certification.
All courses are online, asynchronous sessions with a duration of six (6) weeks. Lectures are recorded and archived and made available during each week of the course.
