- Continue to escalate concerns re: salary ranges
- Prepare and publish think piece on the status of women in librarianship today
- With other women's groups, plan program on salary negotiations for Annual 2001
- With other women's groups, publish brochure no women's groups in ALA
- Review charge (relevancy etc.)
Chair Responsibilities
- Appoint Task Force members
- Request extension of term of office
- Contact Chair, Pay Equity re: salary ranges
- Network with leaders of other women's groups as appropriate
- Pull together a history of this issue (and COSWL's position on it) for COSWL
- Solicit input (by posting on relevant electronic discussion lists) for think piece on the status of women in librarianship)
- Coordinate preparation and submission of piece
- Contact leaders of ALA women's groups re: program on salary negotiations
- Contact leaders of ALA women's groups re: combined brochure on women's groups in ALA
- Coordinate web-site maintenance
